We have had to cut back on doing extensive research for others
due to time constraints. Jane has finished her EMT certification
and is getting ready to go to Paramedic school next spring, while
working full time. I work full time while also working daily on
this website and the GenWeb sites I maintain. We are both
Hospice Volunteers, doing genealogy and documenting patients'
life stories in order to help them prepare for the end of life, and
leave something tangible for the future generations. I love being
able to help people break through brick walls in their research,
and am more than happy to copy documents or take photos while
I am out doing other research, so please don't hesitate to send
me an email!
2007/8 Winter Schedule:
Missouri Records
I visit the Genealogy Library at Independence weekly, so if you
need obits from the Kansas City area or other general Missouri
lookups, send me an email.
Clay County and Platte County, Missouri.
I am working on transcribing cemeteries in both counties as
weather permits.
Greene County, Missouri.
We are in Springfield every few weeks, and visit several of the
cemeteries on every trip. If you are looking for obits, the best
(and fastest) source is the Local History department of the
Springfield/Greene County Library. The cost is minimal, just
the cost of copies, and they have access to all the Springfield
papers. The link is Research Requests.
I will also be transcribing cemeteries in Johnson, Henry, Benton, Dade,
and Pettis counties this spring, so if you need a photo or have a question
just contact me.
We are in the libraries a lot, so feel free to ask for help.
Thank you for your contributions!
If you have photos, obituaries, transcriptions or information
to contribute, please emailme.
If you would like to contribute financially, your donation
will go toward maintainance of this website and the general cemetery
restoration fund.
