1. Gabriel2 Hickman (William Hardin1) was born 1832 in Surry County, North
Carolina, and died 04 Nov 1898 in Osceola, Clair County, Missouri. He married (1)
Elizia J. Price in Stockton, Cedar County, Missouri. He married (2) Mary A
Hutchins 03 Oct 1857. She died Abt 1887.
Notes for Gabriel Hickman:
Gabriel was a Civil War Veteran, Serving with the 12th Kansas Infantry, Company G.
Enrolled August 16th, 1862 at Mansfield for 3 years. Military records indicate he
appears on Co. Muster-Out Roll, June 30 1865, at Little Rock, Arkansas. From
December 13, 1863 into February 1864, records indicate he was absent, sick at Fort
Scott, Kansas. On May 10, 1863, while at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, he contracted
measles.
He is buried in Dunkard/Wagoner Cemetery, located in Osceola township, Missouri
area. South of Osceola, Mo. 0.9 miles on WW Highway, on west side of road.
Cemetery is in St. Clair County. Cemetery is poorly maintained. Pension # 490308.
Gabriel is described as: 6 feet 1inch tall, fair complexion, dark hair and grey
eyes.

Mary Hutchins Hickman is buried in the Old Union Cemetery, North Stockton, Missouri,
1 mile off Highway J. Mary was a Quaker.
